The EU Green Deal has set the stage for a transformative shift toward sustainability and action from all actors is needed. Yet, this package of legislation is still to be implemented to achieve its set targets. Throughout 2023, EU policymakers worked on crucial legislation, demanding businesses and organisations to brace for imminent changes. From the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, the Substantiating Green Claims Directive, and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, these new laws signal policy pathways away from business as usual.
