2B Policy is a sustainability and policy consultancy with deep roots in the apparel, textile and footwear industry. We help international consumer brands anticipate, interpret and implement complex regulatory frameworks, reducing risk and strengthening long-term competitiveness.
Founded in March 2020 and now operating from Amsterdam, Brussels and Berlin, we serve clients across consumer goods markets. Our work spans policy monitoring, compliance, public affairs and the facilitation of cross-sector initiatives that shape the rules of the game in Europe.

Built by practitioners, for practitioners.
2B Policy was founded by Bente Bauer and Baptiste Carriere-Pradal, who met while working on sustainability and public affairs for Cascale (formerly the Sustainable Apparel Coalition). After years of helping brands and industry coalitions navigate sustainability files from the inside, they set out to build a consultancy that combined sharp policy expertise with the operational realism of people who had run sustainability inside brands.
Today, our team brings together engineers, policy specialists, lawyers, communicators and former in-house sustainability leads. We sit on the secretariats and technical bodies that help write the rules, and we work shoulder to shoulder with clients on the practical compliance, reporting, and design changes those rules demand.

FOUNDERS
Bente Bauer
CO-FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Bente leverages her knowledge of EU policy and sustainability to transform the apparel and footwear sector. With an academic background in political science and sustainability, she has followed the legislative journey of the textile industry since 2018. First, she worked at the German Economic Institute on European emission trading systems, then spearheaded public affairs for Cascale’s (formerly Sustainable Apparel Coalition), where she met Baptiste. With her strategic and optimistic approach, Bente assists organisations and businesses in turning policy debates into actionable steps. Originally from Berlin, Bente now lives in Amsterdam, where she spends her free time training for her next triathlon.
Baptiste Carriere-Pradal
CO-FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Baptiste, an engineer by training, combines extensive expertise across the apparel and footwear ecosystem. At Decathlon, he aided Eastern European and Southeast Asian manufacturers in adopting sustainable practices and, after eight years in the field, he founded and led their inaugural sustainability department. He later became Vice President of Cascale’s (formerly Sustainable Apparel Coalition) first European office, directing their transparency and policy initiatives. Outside of work, Baptiste is passionate about spending time at his family’s organic vineyard in southern France.

Richard Lawson
SUSTAINABILITY & POLICY DIRECTOR
Richard is a strategic sustainability leader with over fifteen years of experience in the fashion and consumer goods sector, from manufacturing to retail and luxury to mass market. At 2B Policy, he focused on helping organisations map the complexities of sustainability policy onto the realities of their own business. This means embedding ESG policy into corporate strategies and drilling into specific data points required for compliance. A bit like his passion for running, Richard sees the business adoption of EU Policy as a marathon, not a sprint.
Emilie Carasso
SUSTAINABILITY & POLICY DIRECTOR
A passionate sustainability professional, Emilie has spent her career working at the intersection of regulatory affairs and environmental footprinting, in a trade association, public service, or consulting role. Using her chemical engineering background to understand industrial complexities, she supports 2B Policy by breaking down legislative talk into clear and actionable recommendations. As Sustainability and Policy Director at 2B Policy, she supports organisations in understanding sustainability and footprinting-related legislation, such as CSRD, green claims, and ESPR, and facilitates these conversations in industry-wide projects. When she’s not in the office, you can probably find Emilie somewhere in the Swiss Alps, enjoying the beautiful nature she’s committed to protecting.

Marina Prados
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS
Originally from Spain and based in Brussels for the last seven years, Marina has a background in politics and translation and has worked as a Senior Consultant on Sustainable Products and Trade. At 2B Policy, she is dedicated to supporting the Policy Hub, where she serves as Director, focusing on policy coordination and stakeholder engagement. Her multicultural experience enhances her ability to navigate complex policy environments, fostering effective collaboration.

Aurélia Bichet
SUSTAINABILITY & POLICY MANAGER
Originally from France, Aurélia holds a master’s degree in Governance of Sustainability and has 3 years of experience as a sustainability consultant. As a Sustainability and Policy Manager at 2BPolicy, she focuses on the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and EU Green Claims Directive, helping companies navigate the intricacies of CSRD and operationalise the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) across various industries. Her academic background and hands-on experience enrich her contributions to the 2BPolicy team.
Annica Edl
SUSTAINABILITY & POLICY MANAGER
Annica, from South-West Germany, has a background in Political Science, International Law, and European Human Rights Law. Through her experiences at the Council of Europe and the German Sustainable Investment Forum, she developed a passion for the intersection of human rights and sustainability. As Sustainability Policy Manager, she focuses on supply chain legislation in the EU and abroad to help our clients navigate traceability questions in complex supply chains.

Katarina is a Brussels-based public affairs professional originally from Croatia. She holds a Master’s degree in Law and has spent the past five years in Brussels working on EU environment and circular economy policies. During this time, she has helped organisations across sectors navigate upcoming legislation and the processes behind it. At 2B Policy, she is dedicated to supporting the Policy Hub, where she leads engagement across the textile value chain to support the sector’s shift toward more sustainable and circular practices.

Originally from Germany, Franzi is a passionate sustainability specialist with a Master’s degree in Textile Engineering. For the past four years, she worked on developing bio-based and recycled alternatives to conventional materials at adidas. As Sustainability & Policy Manager, Franzi brings this hands-on expertise to support clients with Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) projects and in turning complex technical challenges into practical solutions.

Originally from Poland and raised in Ireland, Nikola holds a Master's degree in Communication Science, specialising in Persuasive Communication, and a Bachelor's degree in Media Studies. Previously, she gained marketing experience at a global analytics firm, managing content creation and digital campaigns. At 2B Policy, Nikola combines creative and analytical skills to make complex sustainability topics engaging and accessible through strategic communications.

Katarzyna Sulisz

Originally from Poland, Katarzyna has a background in international relations and fashion product and production management. Over the past seven years, she has worked with textile trade associations in Brussels on projects and environmental and circular economy policy in the EU. As Sustainability Policy Manager at 2BPolicy, she facilitates the work of the T2T Alliance and EU policy on textile waste and recycled content. She advises clients on policy advocacy and helps translate complex European legislation into the reality of the textile industry.
Charles Thomas
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Charles has a background in finance and business development, with nearly a decade of experience across multiple sectors, including tech, real estate, and biogas. He draws on this diverse experience to build strong relationships with partners and clients, supporting long-term strategic development. At 2B Policy, Charles leads new-client engagement and works closely with senior leadership to develop and implement market-expansion and growth strategies.

Patrina Feucht
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Patrina is a proverbial jack-of-all-trades, originally from Portland, Oregon. From teaching the art of tea, exploring the culinary world as an aspiring chef and creating as a fibre artist to time spent as an events coordinator, plus-size model and Jazz vocalist, her journey has been anything but ordinary. Now, as Baptiste's assistant at 2B Policy, she ensures smooth operations and serves as the organisational heart of the team. Patrina's diverse experiences contribute to her unique approach to managing team logistics, bringing creativity and efficiency to her role.
Anita Pool
FINANCE MANAGER
Anita has 34 years of financial experience in bookkeeping, including working in a recycling company. Building on this experience, she is the financial manager of 2B Policy, where she runs the bookkeeping and financial administration. In her free time, Anita enjoys being creative, reading, cycling and hiking.
