Sustainability Analyst

Location: Lausanne, Switzerland

Contract: 1-year full-time (with possibility of extension)

Start date: July 2026

As a Sustainability Analyst, you will be at the intersection of political and technical

discussions on environmental impact.

You will work closely with a 2B Policy Director, supporting clients and multi-stakeholder

coalitions with environmental footprinting legislation and methodologies.

Your role will turn complex sustainability rules or policies into clear, actionable

approaches that enable alignment and implementation across industry.

About the Role

As a Sustainability Analyst, you will strengthen our capacity to help our clients

understand environmental footprinting-related legislation. With support from a 2B Policy

Director, you will help translate policy developments into practical next steps for

businesses. Your focus will also be on supporting industry coalitions working on

environmental footprinting methodologies and related legislation.

Key Responsibilities

Working Group Management & Facilitation

-Leading day-to-day activities of industry working groups and collaborative projects.

-Organise and support meetings, facilitate sometimes complex technical discussions,

and track actions and follow-up.

Analysis & Client Support

-Support clients on environmental footprinting–related legislation and policy

developments.

-Translate EU policy developments into practical guidance and client materials &

develop communication materials for clients or coalitions

-Engage with external stakeholders, including EU institutions and industry coalitions.

2B Policy Visibility

-Contribute to external communications (socials, website etc.) and project-related

updates.

-Support the organisation of events, workshops, and business development activities.

Profile

-Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience.

-University degree in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Environmental

Engineering, or a related field.

-Good understanding of environmental footprinting (PEF a plus); strong interest in

environmental legislation and European policy .

-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable engaging with diverse

stakeholders in an international context. Experience in facilitation is a plus.

-Experience working on sustainability topics within business, consultancy, or multi-

stakeholder initiatives.

-Strong analytical, project management, and organisational skills, with the ability to work

in a fast-paced environment.

-Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in English (written and spoken); other EU

languages are an asset.

-Confident presenter, with solid Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
